Appropriate deprescribing in older adults can mitigate the dangers of polypharmacy. According to this Canadian telephone survey, most adults age 65 and older were aware of medication risks and 42% had initiated a conversation with their health care provider about deprescribing. A WebM&M commentary explored approaches to safe medication management for older adults.
