Perceptions of preventable medical errors in Alberta, Canada.

This study surveyed 1500 households and discovered that more than 35% of respondents had experienced a preventable medical error. The same respondents, compared to those without such an experience, believed that errors occurred more frequently and that disclosure was less likely.
