The sharing of stories is a key method to provide context to drive change. The authors explored physicians' narrative reflections and uncovered five recurring themes, including the fallibility of physicians and that the health care system is flawed. They conclude that these themes deserve more attention in medical education to address burnout and enable learners to prepare for challenges in practice.
