Enhanced end-of-life care associated with deploying a rapid response team: a pilot study.

After implementing a rapid response team, a community hospital found significant improvements in the quality of pain management and overall end-of-life care. Prior studies have also demonstrated that rapid response teams may influence decisions about overall goals of care.
