The Daily Plan: including patients for safety's sake.

This study reports on an intervention to engage hospitalized patients in safety by creating a daily plan that their bedside nurse reviewed with them. Patients felt the daily plan improved their understanding of their care and helped them identify discrepancies in the care plan.
