Cost implications of actual and potential adverse events prevented by interventions of a critical care pharmacist.

Past studies have discussed the impact of clinical pharmacists on improving hospital care and preventing medication errors. This study discovered that chart review activities and participation in patient care rounds were associated with the greatest number of pharmacist interventions and potential cost savings.
