Baccalaureate nursing students' accounts of medical mistakes occurring in the clinical setting: implications for curricula.

According to this qualitative study, only half of nursing trainees had received training on how to handle errors, and there was no consistent practice of disclosing errors to patients or supervisors. These results underscore the need to include error disclosure training in nursing education.
