Data collected through the MedMARXsm program is analyzed to reveal where technology fulfills its promised benefit in reducing error, and where room for improvement exists. Through review of 2003 data, computer-entry (CE) errors, involving the incomplete or incorrect entry of medication information into a computer, were the fourth leading cause of error.
