Hospital safety culture can significantly impact both patient and staff outcomes. Based on survey data from 131 hospitals, this study examined the relationship between perceived safety culture and the incidence of hospital-acquired conditions (HACs). Researchers found that higher ratings of overall patient safety culture and open, non-punitive communication were associated with lower HAC rates, highlighting the importance of psychological safety and safety culture to prevent adverse events.
