This study surveyed health care workers and found a relationship between two types of leadership communication: prioritization of safety efforts and feedback about safety concerns. Respondents associated both approaches with positive safety behaviors, suggesting that organizational leaders need to communicate the importance of patient safety and also engage in specific feedback in order to support safety culture.
