This qualitative study examined interviews with general practitioners discussing missed and delayed diagnosis. Investigators found that cognitive biases and atypical disease presentations were common factors in diagnostic errors, consistent with prior literature. This work suggests the need for ongoing education about diagnosis for practicing clinicians.
