A systematic review of measurement tools for the proactive assessment of patient safety in general practice.

This systematic review identified multiple methods to measure patient safety in primary care, including staff surveys, chart audits, interviews, and a checklist of recommended practices. The authors conclude that many existing safety measures are feasible for use in primary care.
