Transferring aviation practices into clinical medicine for the promotion of high reliability.

Aviation often serves as a high reliability model for health care, but application of its methods have not always achieved success in the clinical environment. This review discusses key concepts like checklists and crew resource management that are more well-studied in health care and notes that research regarding incident investigation is still emerging.
