The value of autopsies in the era of high-tech medicine: discrepant findings persist.

Recent studies have suggested that the use of modern imaging may have decreased the rate of diagnostic errors discovered on autopsy. This retrospective study found that while the frequency of major discrepancies may have been reduced, minor discrepancies significantly increased in 2012 compared with 2007.
