Poor labeling practices can contribute to unintended patient harm. This commentary uses case examples to illustrate how incorrect or incomplete labeling can affect care and summarizes recommendations to improve labeling practices for anesthesia medication administration, including standardizing drug storage processes and avoiding look-alike packaging.
