These resources come in a variety of formats, including literature, research, tools, and Web sites. Resources are identified using the National Library of Medicine’s Medline database, various news and content aggregators, and the expertise of the AHRQ PSNet editorial and technical teams.
This survey found that the perception of safety culture varied widely among prehospital emergency medical service agencies, with air medical emergency services tending to report slightly more positive views on safety.

Few studies have addressed patient safety issues during inter-hospital patient transport. This Swedish study used critical incident debriefing techniques to explore factors leading to potential safety problems during transport, based on the perceptions of experienced transport nurses.
