Medically Induced Trauma Support Services (MITSS), Inc. was a nonprofit organization that supported, educated, trained, and offered assistance to victims of medically induced trauma. They worked to promote healing and restore hope to affected individuals and their families. MITSS was unique in that it provided similar services to those affiliated with event, including physicians, nurses, and other health care providers. A 2005 magazine article covers the backstory that led to the creation of the organization which has now ceased operations. Its work has been folded into the Betsy Lehman Center for Patient Safety in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts:
