Concealed renal insufficiency and adverse drug reactions in elderly hospitalized patients.

This study reviewed data on 11,687 patients to explore the relationship between suboptimal kidney function and adverse drug reactions (ADRs) in older inpatients. Hydrosoluble medications, including diuretics, digitalis, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, and hypoglycemic agents, posed the greatest risk of ADRs to this patient population.
