Controlled interventions to reduce burnout in physicians: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Approach to Improving Safety
Setting of Care
Burnout among physicians is common. One survey study found that more than half of physicians reported at least one or more symptoms of burnout. This systematic review and meta-analysis found that although interventions designed to mitigate burnout among physicians seem to yield small benefits, the impact was greater when interventions were directed at the organizational level.
