An investigation of diagnostic accuracy and confidence associated with diagnostic checklists as well as gender biases in relation to mental disorders.

Checklists are widely utilized in health care to promote safety, and they may have potential to reduce diagnostic error. This study described the use of checklists to accurately diagnose mental health disorders. However, the authors note that checklist use could result in more false-negative diagnoses.
