Interprofessional efforts are key to achieving lasting improvements in patient safety. This review explored the evidence on which interventions are most effectively implemented with interprofessional interaction and the outcomes of those programs. Researchers found successes in increasing staff awareness of safety but not in sustained behavior change to support safe care.
