Medication errors: a prospective cohort study of hand-written and computerised physician order entry in the intensive care unit.

The investigators compared two prescribing methods for their impact on medication error. They found that, even though errors were reduced with the computerized physician order entry (CPOE) system, it did introduce errors that could be harmful to patients.
