Agreement of expert judgment in causality assessment of adverse drug reactions.

The investigators engaged five senior experts to review the relationship between a medication treatment and an adverse drug reaction. Agreement between the experts as to cause was poor. The authors suggest that a consensual, rather than individual, approach would more reliably determine the cause of adverse drug reactions.
