The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has announced a request for proposal (RFP) titled: "Assessing the Evidence Base for Context-Sensitive Effectiveness and Safety of Patient Safety Practices: Developing Criteria." In this RFP, clinical interventions are to be addressed within the context of organizations and systems. Offerors are expected to create multidisciplinary teams of experts in patient safety, research, and evaluation methodology to develop criteria that address the context (or external validity) of patient safety practice implementations, safety issues in patient safety practice implementation, and internal validity at the same time. The proposal submission process is now closed.
