The Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine (SIDM) was a not-for-profit organization founded in 2011 that promoted reducing diagnostic errors through collaboration, research, and education. SIDM established the Coalition to Improve Diagnosis, a multidisciplinary effort specifically formed to raise awareness of diagnostic error across the health care industry, and an annual conference devoted to the topic of diagnostic safety. SIDM closed its doors in August 2024.
