The Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation's (APSF) mission is to ensure that no patient is harmed by the effects of anesthesia. To achieve that mission, APSF supports research that will provide a better understanding of preventable anesthetic injuries, encourages programs that will reduce the number of anesthetic injuries, and promotes national and international communication of information and ideas about the causes and prevention of anesthetic morbidity and mortality.
