Structural racism negatively impacts the health of people of color, from maternal safety to post-surgical complications to diagnostic errors. This report describes ways structural racism perpetuates health inequity (i.e. residential segregation, healthcare quality and access, discriminatory incarceration) and provides intersectoral examples of ways to address structural racism to increase health equity.
