This study from the National Poison Data System found analgesic-related adverse drug events increased significantly between 2002 and 2009 and has remained unchanged from 2009 to 2012. The authors highlight the reduction in acetaminophen-related errors among children age 5 and younger as an opportunity to replicate a successful safety strategy.
